Family Run Boutique Opens in Ormond

Granada Plaza Shopping Center

ORMOND BEACH, FL — Sun Dollar Boutique, a family-run store that specializes in affordably priced items, has opened its doors at Granada Plaza, a shopping center at 171 E. Granada Blvd.

A grand opening celebration for the new boutique will be held on Dec. 3.

“Women always like to treat themselves, but in these economic times they can’t afford to spend like before, so we wanted to offer things that meet their needs,” said Tallahassee resident Kathy Harvey, who co-owns Sun Dollar Boutique with her daughter, Nicole Davidson, who lives in Ormond Beach.

Davidson and her sister-in-law Nesha Harvey are operating the store. Its hours of operation are 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday.

The store’s tagline, “Brighten your day for just a dollar,” highlights that 95 percent of the 20,000 pieces sell for $1, Kathy Harvey said.

The store includes bath and body and children’s sections as well as a $3 and $5 section for watches, picture frames, purses, necklaces and wallets.

Granada Plaza, on the northwest corner of A1A and East Granada Boulevard, is anchored by Walgreens, TGI Fridays, Outback Steakhouse and Starbucks. The shopping center is managed by Charles Wayne Properties.
